Please note, a tongue scraper must be used in addition to other oral hygiene tools! It is always recommended to brush your teeth 3 times a day, preferably after each meal.

USE
Step 1: Open your mouth and stick out your tongue
Opening your mouth wide makes your tongue more accessible and makes it easier to scratch.
The goal is to facilitate access to your tongue, especially its rear area which is the most loaded with food debris, and therefore bacteria. Stick out your tongue and keep it outside your mouth. Avoid pointing your tongue, however, as this decreases the surface area and makes scratching less effective.
Step 3 - Place the tongue scraper
Place the tongue scraper on the rearmost part of the tongue.
Warning: If you feel a tickle or trigger a nausea reflex, you have gone too far. As you get used to scratching sessions, you should get used to it and be able to place the tongue scraper further into your mouth than in your initial session.
Step 4 - Start scratching
Apply pressure to the tongue scraper. In a slow, smooth motion, pull the tongue scraper from the back of your tongue forward. The edge of the scraper will rub against the rough surface of the tongue, and remove any residue.
To be effective, you must apply gentle pressure, but never trigger discomfort or abrasion of the skin. It is better to be lighter in the gesture, than to risk pressing too hard and hurting yourself.
Never push the scraper towards the back of your mouth. The movement should always be from the back of your mouth to the tip of your tongue.
Step 5 - Rinse the scraper after each pass
After each stroke on your tongue, rinse the tongue scraper with clean water.
As with brushing teeth, there is no sure-fire way to tell when it's over. However, 4 to 6 passes on your tongue are normally enough to clean it.
Step 6 - Clean the scraper after use
Once the 4-6 passages on your tongue are done, rinse the scraper under the tap, removing any food remains or saliva. Make sure your tongue scraper stays clean and dry between uses by storing it in its case, drawer, or medicine cabinet.
Warnings:
If you have an irritation on your tongue, a cut or open sores (canker sores), do not use a tongue scraper. Allow your tongue to heal before scratching it.
